Accounts are not open yet, and here is what that means
There is no sign-up, and nothing you write leaves your device. You can set a passphrase that encrypts your record where it sits, so a shared laptop or a phone handed to somebody to look at a photo cannot open it. It never locks the tools — only the record.
What an account will add
- Having the same record on your phone and your computer.
What has to exist first
Keeping a record of somebody’s health on a server is not something to start and document afterwards. These four are named here rather than left as an internal note.
- A published privacy policy — What is collected, why, where it is stored, who can reach it, and for how long.
- A written retention and deletion rule — Including what happens to the record when an account is deleted, and how fast.
- Express consent at signup, with a record of it — Unticked by default, in plain language, and stored with a timestamp. The same standard course.py already applies to the email course under CASL.
- A breach response plan — PIPA requires notification. A plan written after a breach is not a plan.
What it does with what you write
What you write will be encrypted on your device before it goes anywhere, with a key we never receive. We will not be able to read your record — not as a promise, as a fact about how it is built. Your email address is the only thing about you we would be able to see.
What signing up will never ask for
- Your name.
- Your date of birth.
- Your address or location.
- Your health conditions, diagnoses or medications.
- Anything about your claim, your employer or your treatment.
